These pictures show how the Revolution-A/U mounts nicely into the Lionel Challenger tender.

The Revolution A/U is the Rev-A format decoder with a JST connector on each end similar to the Revolution-U decoder. The Rev-A/U does not have built-in resistors for lighting which makes it very flexible for custom installations. The Athearn / Atlas style mounting holes make for a versatile mount.

The Rev-A/U is clipped to an Athearn DC Lamp board mount assembly (P/N G62019). The mounting assembly’s legs were shortened to achieve the desired height and then epoxyed to the tender floor. A center support was added under the middle of the clip. This makes a great mount and the decoder can be easily removed if necessary.
