How to Choose the Sound You Want?
Sound file IDs or P/Ns are identified by a 2 part 7 digit number. The first four digits are the Type Number (Diesel 1008, Steam 3010, etc), and the remaining 3 digits are the Sound Numbers. For example, a G scale F7 is 1008-291.

DCC Users - Important Programming Information:
CVs have been re-configured to provide smooth operating in the 1-5 scale mph range. Programming CV 56.5=3 range (1-31), and CV2=30 range (0-255) is a good place to start. Also programming the start voltage, CV2, according to this procedure, see page 2 of this document (PDF) , optimizes low speed performance.

Speed and Chuff Calibrations:
The Quantum units can accurately verbally report your scale mph speed or correlate your throttle speed steps to mph.

The integrated automatic chuff feature can be calibrated to provide very accurate results in all speed ranges see Quantum HO DCC Reference Manual for QSI Quantum Q1a and Q2 Equipped Locomotives Ver. 4.6.0.

Quantum Programmer Failures
9 times out of 10 this is a simple software problem. You need to download the newest version of Q2 upgrade and the latest USB drivers. Before continuing you must fully remove all of the older software via [Add or Remove Programs] in the control panel. This means you must remove the old driver set as well.
