HELP: How To Listen to and Play Sound Files?

The Latest ...

The newest steam files are available for download on QSIS.
In order to use these files you MUST use the newest version of the Q2 Upgrade software (1.10.0.0) this is the only version of the software that can manipulate the new chuff records. More ...

New SD/GP 2nd Generation Sounds available.
Files 1050-331 through 1050-336 have been reworked with brand new recordings of the EMD 645 prime mover, for the SD the transitions are left in place.

Files 1050-363 through 1050-366 have also been reworked with the same new motor recordings but (prototypically) have had the transition sounds removed.

Both sets of files are available with a wide variety of prototypical horns but if you're looking for one that's not listed simply let us know and we'd be happy to build you a custom file.

How to Choose the Sound You Want?

Sound file IDs or P/Ns are identified by a 2 part 7 digit number. The first four digits are the Type Number (Diesel 1050, Steam 3050, etc), and the remaining 3 digits are the sound numbers. For example, a F7 is 1050-291.
